Friday Funnies: Halloween At My House!

So the ghosts are filled with chocolate, and will be climbing the walls all weekend. Here is a video taken by my son, showing our yard and all the ghouls we had visiting.

We had people stopping their cars to look at our house, but you really had to come up to our doorstep to get the full effect.

Tomorrow, I go get all the 1/2 priced ghouls for next year.

Fun was had by all, especially the Bride of Frankenstein. I didn't find even one child fit to throw into the boiling cauldron, oh well, maybe next year!

As A Female...

As a female, I have been totally disgusted by some of the Blogging Tories attacking Sarah Palin. So, let me clue you in. Talking about $150,000 spent on clothes during a campaign is as petty as you can get, (those two pillars for Obama's speech, over $150,000, but let's not let facts get in the way of our agendas)it shows a real lack of seriousness about the real issues, like socialism.

As a female, I respect Sarah Palin, as a mother, a woman, a wife and the Governor of the state of Alaska. I can recognize a strong woman without feeling threatened, so can McCain, too bad the MSM is so insecure they have to try and slander her because she is so strong.

As a female, I would never have been able to support Hillary, any woman who would put up with her husband fooling around on her, is not tough enough to run a county let alone her own household.

As a female, Obama scares me, not inspires me. Dating is a scary thing for a female, so most of us rely on that 6th sense. My antenna started twitching the minute I heard Obama speak, he reminded me of a used car salesman, promising me the car was sound, while crossing his fingers behind his back, and grinning at me. Personally, he gives me the heebie geebies. All fluff and no substance, and just that little bit of "noway" thrown in.

As a female, McCain is the better choice. He wanted the surge, he knew that it would stop Americans from dying. He is a war hero, he has put his country first, you know he will not be swayed by terrorists.

As a female, I fear the direction the US would go if they elect Obama, socialism can not ever work. You can not be Robin Hood if you want your country to stay strong. No robber has ever made a positive impact on society. Obama Hood is not a good idea for America. If he wins, Canada will suffer because Democrats are protectionists.

As a female, I know a phony when I see one, and Obama is a phony. God bless Canada for re-electing a strong leader when the US is the weakest it has ever been.

As a female, I vote NO for Obama, YES for McCain and Sarah Palin.

Catholics, the United Way and UNICEF.

So, this month is the United Way's big push for funds. It is the only charity that my work actively promotes. We can get payroll deductions taken off so that we can donate more and get it taken off in small amounts throughout the year. Problem is, the Catholic Church has actively told Catholics not to donate to the United Way because some of that money will go towards promoting abortions.

UNICEF's big push used to be at Halloween, do you remember kids with those boxes around their necks at Halloween, asking for change for UNICEF? Seen any of those lately? Thought not. WHY? Well UNICEF tries to make it sound like they planned the whole thing, but they refuse to admit it died because Catholic schools have stopped supporting their campaign. Funny how the public schools aren't taking up the slack.

A rejuvenated Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF Campaign

Fifty-one years later, in 2006, following consultations with educators from all regions, UNICEF Canada has revamped its annual campaign to make it more engaging, educational and fun for Canadian kids, as well as more relevant, flexible and easy to implement for teachers. We have also been listening to the concerns expressed by teachers, schools and parents regarding the logistical and safety challenges of the traditional door-to-door coin collection.

Safety challenges? The kids are already going door to door for candy. What better time to also ask for donations. Too bad you are not listening to the Catholic schools concerns about your support of abortion. Stop listening to lefty teachers and supporting abortion, and you might get those little UNICEF boxes back next Halloween.

New York, Oct. 5, 2007 (C-fam.org/CWNews.com) - The UN Children's Fund (UNICEF) has joined with the sponsors of a new drive to promote legal abortion, the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute (C-Fam) reports.

Two charities that have cut off a huge source of funds by going against Catholic/Christian teachings. Seems like they are less interested in getting funding than promoting their own agenda's. Why would UNICEF and the United Way purposely set out to strangle their own organizations? Is a dead baby more important than a live baby that Christians would be willing to help? What is it with lefties and dead babies?

I actually found a way to donate through the United Way, you can donate to a specific charity like, Dogs With Wings, so that no money goes to organizations you do not morally agree with.

Morals, too bad these two charitable organizations have lost there way.

Lobamatized!

As the US election comes down to the wire, I thought I'd put my two cents into the mix. I have a very good friend in the US who is a McCain supporter, so she sends me most of what I use on this blog that relates to the election. Thanks Irene!! A real live American Republican prospective, not what we see from the MSM.

I bet you didn't think of it this way----

Redistribution of Wealth

Here is a creative approach to redistribution of wealth as offered in a
local newspaper...

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read
"Vote Obama, I need the money." I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a "Obama 08" tie, again I
laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the
coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him
that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He
stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to
redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless
guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the
server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless
guy was grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I
realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn,
but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn
even though the actual recipient deserved money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in
concept than in practical application.

(and you thought YOU would get more money?!*)

Listen to this for the music alone:

I can't vote, but my American friend can, and I suspect she's going to vote McCain.

Why People Are Turning To Bloggers.

Bloggers seem to be winning the media war. Why? Bloggers don't take the weekend off. This weekend, with record breaking winds keeping me inside, and Hubby watching NFL games non-stop, I had only the internet to turn to for news. CTV, the Globe and Mail, National Post, and I would say CBC but I never go there anymore, all had no updates during the weekend. I have also noticed that they all post articles from the "Canadian Press" verbatim, so it doesn't matter which site you go to, you get the same talking points. They are unoriginal, uninspiring and clones of the "Canadian Press".

So, turning my attention to blogs, I get new opinions on everything from global warming to the latest movie review, all in real time. Most important, blogs are starting to drive the issues. Case in point, Joanne at Blue Like You, got everyone thinking about why a judge would only count 28 out of 184 polls in declaring Ujjal a winner by 22 (reduced from 33) votes. This percolated all weekend, the MSM is now trying to catch up, and doing a really bad job of it.

You see, bloggers don't take the weekend off, as a matter of fact, because most bloggers work, the weekend is when they can blog more, not less.

On a weekend, when you are stuck in your basement, who is more current? The MSM only update their sites if a major event occurs, blogs update their sites daily, with interesting prospectives on what is happening.

Agree with their opinions or not, at least bloggers are out there for you to read. The unionized MSM had better get with it soon, because bloggers are more current and their ability to allow comments make them more down to earth.

The MSM is old and tired, and is being replaced by blogs. We suddenly started getting the Edmonton Journal delivered to our door last week, we phoned today and found out it was a one month blitz hoping that we would want to keep receiving it. HA! I prefer my trees growing in my front yard, not dead and spewing garbage called news.

Enlighten Us All You Non Believers!

I am embarrassed to say I ever graduated from this institute of "higher learning". It was bad 30 years ago, it appears it has deteriorated even further through the years.

This is what passes for intellectual discourse these days:

University of Alberta may excise God from grad speech

In the speech, the chancellor urges those in mortar boards to use their newly granted parchments for "the glory of God and the honour of your country."

Bushfield said the reference is outdated and not reflective of recent national surveys that suggest one twenty-something in three doesn't believe in God.

"We want an inclusive convocation where everyone feels welcome and able to participate," said Bushfield.

I remember what a snob I was because I thought being in university made me better than those people staying on the farm to work. I remember how I was forced to listen to "Moonies" telling me why they were right and I was wrong. I remember having to sit and listen to a gay person tell me how his Mom dressed him up in girls clothes to model them for her clothes store. I remember how I knew I should feel enlightened, and as a small town girl, I just didn't understand why this should concern me at all, except to get a passing grade in an artsy course.

You see, I never got with the program because I never understood what the lefties were after. I could have cared less, I wrote them off as a weird crowd, and went on with my studies. It seems they are still at it, except they are not fringe groups anymore. The radicals we ignored 30 years ago, are now a force to be reckoned with because they are the vocal minority shouting over the silent majority.

Upon reaching the gruelling end of a long and tiresome journey, students embark across a stage for the convocation. Yet, despite the movement toward multicultural inclusiveness and tolerance, this is one stage that keeps the flame of bigotry burning bright.

Bigots???? Mentioning God makes us bigots?

Main Entry:
big·ot Listen to the pronunciation of bigot

Pronunciation:
\ˈbi-gət\
Function:
noun
Etymology:
French, hypocrite, bigot
Date:
1660

: a person obstinately or intolerantly devoted to his or her own opinions and prejudices ; especially : one who regards or treats the members of a group (as a racial or ethnic group) with hatred and intolerance

Who is the real bigot here, who is being intolerant and a hypocrite? If you are so offended by a reference to God, refuse your degree, that will show us bigots. Better yet, refuse to take any public funding from Christians, pay the full bill for your education. Also do not work in a firm that might have Christian people working there, you might hear God mentioned! Do not build any bridges for firms that might have Christians involved, they might say "Thank God" when the bridge stands.

If you truly do not believe in God, then any reference to him should not worry you. Hypocrites talk out of both sides of their mouths; I do not believe in God, but any reference to God causes me to protest, because you should believe like I do. If you do not, you are a bigot.

A recent Canadian Press Harris-Decima survey suggests that around 36 per cent of Canadians under 25 don’t believe in a god. This means that when the chancellor issues his charge, he’s discriminating against all the students who disagree with the idea of living in fear of a deity. He also offends the senses of the majority who believe that a public institution should have no stance on religious issues. Atheism and agnosticism aren’t the only beliefs under attack— the idea of separation of church and state is as well.

So you don't believe in God, but you live in fear of a deity? Public institution, funded by who? Do any Christians pay property taxes? Discrimination? How about supporting the foundation on which this country was built, a Christian foundation?

I am ashamed that such a narrow minded person is getting any media attention, and as an alumni, I will not send anymore funds to the U of A, because obviously, my Christian money, is not wanted. Fine by me, I can donate more to my favorite charity instead, Dogs With Wings, they don't care whether I believe in God or not.

This guy is going to get a very rude awakening when he actually gets out into the "real" world.

Update: It appears an associate professor from Minnesota and his robots, have been freeping the Edmonton Sun poll. Wonder what all the anti-America U of A university students feel about that? Right, that's what I thought, you like Americans who support your views.

One Vote Counted, ALL Votes Recounted.

I always "assumed" that a vote recount, was just that, a total recount of the votes in a close riding. Well, it appears that is not the case. If you haven't been following the uproar over at Blue Like You, you should be.

It appears that only sampling a few polls is okay with Election Canada's rules. It also appears to be legally valid for a Judge to rule when enough polls have been counted. So, everything was done according to the existing rules under Elections Canada. My question is who made that rule? Parliament or Elections Canada? Does Elections Canada have the ability to change the rules that political parties must operate under during an election? How impartial is Elections Canada if they are being taken to court by the Conservative Party.

This is not so much an issue about what the Judge did, as how confident are you in Elections Canada anymore. Just before the election was called, the Ethics Committee was dragging the Conservative Party through the mud that is the so called "in and out" scheme. Never mind that this issue is before the courts, they wanted dirt and they were determined to find it. The committee was taped and you can go watch both days of testimony here, July 15 and 16th.

For those of you who only want the interesting tidbits. Try watching these Youtube videos that summarize what happened in that committee.

For the other parts here are the links for you to watch at your leisure.

Ethics Committee Part 2
Ethics Committee Part 3

Ethics Committee Part 5

Remember Edmonton Center which Anne McLellan kept winning by very small margins? People were allowed to vote in her riding by registering their office address, even storage container addresses? Elections Canada only "fixed" that riding because of a formal complaint by Laurie Hawn.

Elections Canada probing registration irregularities in Edmonton Centre
Gordon Kent, The Edmonton Journal
Published: Friday, January 20 2006

EDMONTON - Elections Canada has sent out a team of troubleshooters from Ottawa to sort out irregularities with the Edmonton Centre voter registration list.

There could be hundreds of people on the revised voters list released last week whose addresses are offices, post boxes, storage yards, or don't exist at all, according to Conservative research.

"We need to tighten up the system. Those opportunities shouldn't be there," Tory candidate Laurie Hawn said Thursday.

Funny how she lost in that election by over 3000 votes. Laurie Hawn went on to win the riding by over 10,000 votes more the Liberals in 2008.

What all this does is call into question Elections Canada, their impartiality, and what their role should be in the future. Do we need a watchdog over the watchdog? How many watchdogs are needed to keep our democracy running as it should? One vote counted, ALL votes recounted. SIMPLE.

Friday Funnies: All Things Halloween!

Guess you can figure out where I'm going with the Friday funnies for this week! HA! I will be busy passing out candy next Friday, but I will post a picture of our house as we do it up big for Halloween, the coffin is still in the storage shed, so you will have to wait for next week to get the whole effect.

You know you are too old to Trick or Treat when:

10. You get winded from knocking on the door.

9. You have to have another kid chew the candy for you.

8. You ask for high fiber candy only.

7. When someone drops a candy bar in your bag, you lose your
Balance and fall over.

6. People say: "Great Boris Karloff Mask,"
And you're not wearing a mask.

5. When the door opens you yell, "Trick or ..."
And can't remember the rest.

4. By the end of the night, you have a bag full of restraining orders.

3. You have to carefully choose a costume that won't dislodge your hairpiece.

2. You're the only Power Ranger in the neighborhood with a walker.

And the number one reason Seniors should not go Trick Or Treating...
*
*
*
1. You keep having to go home to pee.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

And of course, the Halloween dog:

And the all important time waster for those Friday night blues because you are stuck at home instead of being out at the bar,

The Undead Smackdown!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have a spooktacular evening!

In Stark Contrast...

Some posters to a previous post of mine, got me thinking.

Why do artists get funding when many respectable charities have to rely totally on private funding? So I googled arts funding government of Canada, this is what I got:

Yup, the government of Canada definitely funds the arts. How about, let's say guide dog organizations, which are closest to my heart? So I googled guide dog funding government of Canada, and this is what I got:

Do you see the difference? I see the difference.

Nope, no funding for guide dogs who help the blind, autistic children, hearing impaired, epileptic, and handicapped. Think about how these dogs help improve the physical and mental health of those people they help. This is only one example of charities that go begging while artists have the Canada Council of the Arts who hand out grants for even foreign artists to be brought to Canada. Yes you heard that right, Canadian taxpayers pay for foreign artists to visit Canada.

All invited artists must be recognized as professionals in their discipline. The Canada Council defines a professional artist as someone who has specialized training in the field (not necessarily in an academic institution), who is recognized as such by her or his peers (artists working in the same artistic tradition), and who has a history of public presentation or publication.

Grant Amount

Grants are available in fixed amounts of $500, $750, $1,000, $1,500, $2,000, $2,500 or $3,000.

Application Form

Visiting Foreign Artists (Pilot Program) (PDF Acrobat format).
This form can only be printed and cannot be filled out on-line.

How about for each guide dog who graduates, the organization gets a $5,000 grant? If all guide dog organizations in Canada graduate 200 dogs a year, that's only $1,000,000? Artists are complaining about 48 million in cuts to a 3+ BILLION budget, kind of puts things into perspective doesn't it?

The problem is that the arts have a huge vocal lobby group, the disabled are voiceless. I want a Canada Council for the Disabled, that can give out grants to charitable organizations who at the grassroots are actually improving people's lives. I want to see a parade of guide dogs on Parliament Hill, I want to see MP's from all parties explain why they do not deserve funding. Unfortunately, the disabled do not have the money to fly to Ottawa to make their case.

The Forgotten Man...Joe The Plumber

The turning point in this election, is in my opinion, Joe the Plumber. He speaks to real people more than any politician can ever hope to do. He has socked voters in the stomach, and made them look at what choices they have in this election. He has provided some common sense in an election that has gone on too long and been too vicious from both sides. I suspect more voters will think about him when voting than either Obama or McCain.

“He Works, He Votes, Generally He Prays – But He Always Pays”

Joe the Plumber has struck a chord in the closing weeks of this election because he represents the Forgotten Man. When he confronted Sen. Barack Obama on the campaign trail with the question of what would happen to his taxes under an Obama Administration should he realize his dream of owning his own business, Joe cast the decision that faces us in this election in stark relief:

Which will be better for our economy: Politicians redistributing our wealth or growing more wealth?

And Sen. Obama gave us an equally stark answer: Under his leadership, America will focus on “spreading around” the Forgotten Man’s wealth, not encouraging him to create more of it.

What has been lost in the US election is the focus on the common voter and what they are most concerned about, not change, but stability and progress for their families.

Coming To Canada..

Some light humour for all of us election weary people. I've seen this one before, but it's worth a redo.

McCain wins: Come to Canada!!!

Maybe someone should tell them those nasty Conservatives just won the election up here! We have enough socialists of our own to contend with, thanks but no thanks, stay where you are.

"There Are None So Blind"...

..."As Those Who Will Not See."

"There are none so blind as those who will not see. The most deluded people are those who choose to ignore what they already know. The proverb has been traced back in English to 1546 (John Heywood), and resembles the Biblical verse quoted (above). In 1738, it was used by Jonathan Swift in his 'Polite Conversation,' and is first attested in the United States in the 1713 'Works of Thomas Chalkley'..."

Are the Liberals in a death spiral?

The Liberal Party of Canada is the most successful political party in Western democracy. It is Canada's natural governing party. A Liberal leader inevitably becomes Prime Minister.

That and four dollars will buy you a coffee at Starbucks.

I highly suggest you read the 12 point plan, then read the comments.

1. Admit you have a problem.
2. Give up on the white knight.
3. Make a decision to unite.
4. Make an honest inventory.
5. Admit you made mistakes.
6. Give up your shortcomings.
7. Humbly begin to remake the party.
8. Figure out where the party needs to grow.
9. Focus policy and tour ruthlessly on growth.
10. Constantly focus on correcting problems.
11. Reconnect with the middle-class.
12. Never stop uniting and ensure new Liberals focus on uniting.

So, are the Liberals listening? HA!

Stan L from Canada writes: Can the Globe and Mail navel gaze any more? I mean seriously have we not done this topic to death....there are 4 other parties all of which need to do some soul searching including your beloved Conservative party, which is already treading into some tricky waters......care to comment on that or is the Liberal party not done being filleted yet?

Jah Nee Kah Sun from Canada writes: Get a new leader...wait a few years...get Trudeau as leader....win

diane marie from calgary, Canada writes: The malaise afflicting the Conservative Party is that it isn't a party, but a leader with a supply of muzzles (for willing tail-waggers) and no ability to attract talent. The malaise afflicting the Liberal Party is that it's a big-tent party with a good deal of talent, but talent unable to choose a leader and then get behind that leader. Leader with no team; team unable to back a leader.

So, there you have it folks, an important article with good advise for the Liberals, and only the Conservatives are agreeing. The Liberal supporters just can't believe their party is broken. Sad really.

The Forgotten Ones.

Who are the real people? They are the people who really need our help. They are the people lefties like to talk about helping, but never get around to actually meeting. They are the forgotten ones.

I am very sad tonight because my first seeing eye dog in training, that I loved with all my heart, has died. Rest in peace Pride, love you baby boy!

We were his "adult" family and we said goodbye to him years ago when he went to his blind person. Now his blind person has no way of getting around without his "eyes". He is devastated. His freedom is gone, but more importantly his best friend is gone. Hopefully he will get another "seeing eye" dog. I suspect right now he doesn't want one, because his best partner in the world is gone.

Funny how just this weekend I was commenting on how our newest "dog with wings", reminded me of Pride. He is a big boy, but he has a very gentle soul. Maybe he is going to be the next dog to bring great joy to his blind person.

We have only had him for a week, but we love him already. It is very fulfilling to sponsor these dogs, who are destined to help people who need assistance. The forgotten ones.

Dogs with wings, does not get any government funding like our spoiled little artists, they survive on donations from everyday Canadians. Ask me whether I want my taxpayers money going towards some artist who makes a dress of beef, or towards these dogs, who help blind people, autistic children and handicapped people, and the choice is very easy.

The forgotten ones. The people who truly need help but are not able to get it because special interest groups hog all the money. This has to stop. Real people with real disabilities should come first.

The Liberals In My Life.

The election is over, the Conservatives won a very strong minority in tough economic times, that is important, because usually the party in power gets blamed, it didn't happen this time. Why not? I think PM Harper was correct, Canada has always been conservative, people have just been fooled into thinking they are liberal.

Let me give you three examples of Liberals in my life.

Liberal #1, My Mom and Dad.

Staunch Catholics, Dad was the Grand Knight in his area. They hate abortion, they believe drugs are bad, they think people who stray in their marriage have no morals. Everything they believe in is conservative. Yet they vote Liberal. Why? My Dad got a good civil servant job when Trudeau was in power, he thinks he owes loyalty to the Liberals forever. My Mom told me today that PM Harper had wasted the 12 Billion surplus and now we had no backup.

Liberal #2, My Neighbour.

We have had a neighbourhood barbecue for a few years, for the last two, our MP has shown up to talk to us, and enjoy the evening. Everyone welcomes him, and we all have a great time.

Today my neighbour walked over to discuss our Halloween decorations, (we go all out, pictures will be posted, but don't look in the coffin!!) he finally revealed his political leaning, he's a Liberal. Most important, he revealed he did not vote. As a Liberal, he had no party he could vote for, so he stayed home.

Liberal #3, A Work Mate.

Just before the election was called, he was spouting off about how the Conservatives had run out of steam, they had no good ideas, they had only a 5 point plan and seeing as they had accomplished most of those 5 points, they were now out of ideas. He is one of the most arrogant people I know. He ran for the school council and lost. Last time I saw him, his shoulders were slumped and he was muttering to himself. Another workmate was celebrating the fact that Rahim Jaffer was unemployed when he got married. He even posted it on his facebook site to gloat about it.

These are the Liberals in my life, uncaring, delusional, and most importantly, they refuse to accept they fact that the party they support is old, tired and can't tell you what "liberal values" really are, or how Liberals would make our lives better. But like the little robots they are, they vote Liberal, no thought, no responsibility, no facts required.

I enjoy the Liberals in my life, but they are not grounded in reality. Sorry Mom and Dad, but you are just behind the times, I still love you though.

Quebec Free Falling!

I have gone from being mad at Quebec for not voting Conservative after PM Harper catered to them for the last 2 and 1/2 years, to seeing how they have isolated themselves from the rest of Canada. What were they thinking? Do they expect to get more goodies from the rest of Canada now?

The west has been silent about the handouts to fix the fiscal imbalance, they have been silent about Charest's using the extra money to give Quebec a tax break, all in the hope that Quebec would understand that the rest of Canada wants Quebec to play a roll in Canada. This is not to be. They have no voice, like Newfoundland. Sure, some of the 10 Quebec Conservative MP's will get to be Ministers, but 10 voices from Quebec will get quickly overruled by BC, AB, SK, ONT, MAN, and even PEI at the caucus table.

It's not just PM Harper talking about arts cuts that is the problem, they even get snooty with President Sarkozy. Apparently their arrogance knows no bounds.

QUEBEC — An upset French diplomat tried to quell a storm in the ranks of Quebec's sovereignty movement on Saturday, complaining that President Nicolas Sarkozy's endorsement of Canadian federalism has been blown out of proportion.

Alain Joyandet, the French secretary of state for the Francophonie, blasted journalists for paying more attention to Mr. Sarkozy's ad-libbed call for Canadian unity rather than the carefully crafted homage to Quebec he gave in the province's National Assembly.

Hey President Sarkozy, join the Quebec "we hate everyone" club, PM Harper knows all about it! Don't sweat it, Canada respects you even if Quebec doesn't.

Quebec is getting outright embarrassing. Not wanting the Queen at their 400 year celebrations (petty little people), supporting juvenile killers not the victims, wanting abortion up to and including partial birth killing, wanting free daycare and free university, inviting the President of France to Canada and then slapping him in the face for daring to say he loved Canada, all while sucking on the Canadian taxpayers teat, while having a provincial debt of over 100 Billion.

Read this excellent article by Jeffrey Simpson, it's bang on.

After each of the six elections since 1993, a chorus of Quebec commentators explained why the Bloc Québécois, once again, had won the largest number of seats in the province.

It's always been something: reaction against the defeat of the Meech Lake accord, the Liberal Party's sponsorship scandal and, this time, Conservative cuts to two little cultural programs and one announcement on juvenile sentencing.

"It's always been something"...and it will continue as long as Quebec thinks it has a hand to play, but it's hand is a pair of deuces, and I predict that PM Harper will call their bluff. You see, PM Harper came 10 seats away from a majority without Quebec, so they have no power left, they are free falling. They are stuck with a provincial party that can do nothing for Quebec because they have no power, kind of like the early Reform Party, but the Reform party had room to grow and expand, the Bloq has no ability to increase, no ability to affect policy, no ability to help Quebec, Duceppe is as useless to Quebec, as Dion is to Canada.

Enjoy your self imposed isolation Quebec. You have made yourselves irrelevant.

Obaaaama!

We are hearing about the "October Surprise" might this be it?

Why not just produce the birth certificate and end this legal action? McCain did, why not Obama?

As a Conservative, I find it hard to support Obama. From all I have seen, he is all fluff, he might win because he stirs people emotions, but that's the same tactic the lefties tried to use this election. PM Harper was not emotional enough for lefties, they are creatures of flowery talk, but no substance. Canadians saw through that and voted for stability.

Will Americans be fooled? I hope not. Be careful of what you wish for, false dreams of a saviour are dangerous to any country, even more so to America as a super power, in an increasingly dangerous world.

Friday Funnies: Dancing With The Stars!

Five surgeons from big cities are discussing who are the best patients to operate on.

The first surgeon, from New York says, "I like to see accountants on my operating table, because when you open them up, everything inside is numbered."

The second, from Chicago , responds, "Yeah, but you should try electricians! Everything inside them is color coded."

The third surgeon, from Dallas , says, "No I really, think librarians are the best; everything inside them is in alphabetical order."

The fourth surgeon, from Los Angeles chimes in, "You know, I like construction workers, those guys always understand when you have a few parts left over."

But the fifth surgeon, from Washington , DC shut them all up when he observed, "You're all wrong. Politicians are the easiest to operate on. There are no guts, no heart, no brains and no spine, and the head and the butt are interchangeable."

When you occasionally have a really bad day, and you just need to take it out on someone, don't take it out on someone you know, take it out on someone you don't know, but you know deserves it.

I was sitting at my desk when I remembered a phone call I'd forgotten to make.
I found the number and dialed it. A man answered, saying
'Hello.' I politely said, 'This is Chris. Could I please speak with Robyn Carter?'
Suddenly a manic voice yelled out in my ear 'Get the right f***ing number!'
and the phone was slammed down on me. I couldn't believe that anyone could be so rude.
When I tracked down Robyn's correct number to call her, I found that I had accidentally transposed the last two digits. After hanging up with her,
I decided to call the 'wrong' number again.
When the same guy answered the phone, I yelled
'You're an asshole!'
and hung up. I wrote his number down with the word 'asshole' next to it, and put it in my desk drawer.
Every couple of weeks, when I was paying bills or had a really bad day, I'd call him up and yell, 'You're an asshole!'
It always cheered me up.

One day I was at the store, getting ready to pull into a parking Spot. Some guy in a black BMW cut me off and pulled into the spot I had patiently waited for.
I hit the horn and yelled that I'd been waiting for that spot, but the idiot ignored me. I noticed a 'For Sale' sign in his back window, so I wrote down his number.
A couple of days later, right after calling the first asshole
(I had his number on speed dial,)
I thought that I'd better call the BMW asshole, too.
I said, 'Is this the man with the black BMW for sale?'
He said, 'Yes, it is.'
I asked, 'Can you tell me where I can see it?'
He said, 'Yes, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd , in Fairfax .
It's a yellow ranch, and the car's parked right out in front.'
I asked, 'What's your name?'
He said, 'My name is Don Hansen,'
I asked, 'When's a good time to catch you, Don?'
He said, 'I'm home every evening after five.'
I said, 'Listen, Don, can I tell you something?'
He said, 'Yes?'
I said, 'Don, you're an asshole!'
Then I hung up, and added his number to my speed dial, too. Now, when I had a problem, I had two assholes to call. Then I came up with an idea.

I called asshole #1.
He said, 'Hello.'
I said, 'You're an asshole!'
(But I didn't hang up.)
He asked,'Are you still there?'
I said,'Yeah!'
He screamed, 'Stop calling me,'
I said, 'Make me,'
He asked, 'Who are you?'
I said, 'My name is Don Hansen.'
He said, 'Yeah? Where do you live?'
I said, 'Asshole, I live at 34 Oaktree Blvd , in Fairfax ,
a yellow ranch, I have a black Beamer parked in front.'
He said, 'I'm coming over right now, Don.
And you had better start saying your prayers.'
I said, 'Yeah, like I'm really scared, asshole,' and hung up.

Then I called Asshole #2.
He said, 'Hello?'
I said, 'Hello, asshole,'
He yelled,'If I ever find out who you are...'
I said, 'You'll what?'
He exclaimed, 'I'll kick your ass,'
I answered, 'Well, asshole, here's your chance.
I'm coming over right now.'

Then I hung up and immediately called the police, saying that I lived at 34 Oaktree Blvd,in Fairfax, and that I was on my way over there to kill my gay lover.
Then I called Channel 9 News about the gang war going down in Oaktree Blvd in Fairfax.
I quickly got into my car and headed over to Fairfax.
I got there just in time to watch two assholes beating the crap out of each other in front of six cop cars, an overhead news helicopter and surrounded by a news crew.

NOW I feel much better.
Anger management really does work.

Boot Harper!

That's right, the Conservatives should boot Harper as he didn't win a majority. Seriously, the Conservatives will never win a majority if we keep Harper as our leader! He will be gone before the next election.

The forecast: Dion out by year's end, Harper before the next vote

But, by next year, the Liberals will have a new leader who will be much more popular than Mr. Dion. There is likely to be a deepening, American-induced recession. Circumstances for the Prime Minister will be twice as tough as they were in this campaign. Stephen Harper will take the hint, behold declining poll numbers, realize the Big Win isn't there, and step out gracefully - as a great builder of the party and as a winner. He won't make the mistake that so many do, hanging on for glory's last shot and falling in the process.

Okay, that's just too funny! Hello LAWRENCE MARTIN, give your head a shake, just because you fear PM Harper, and the Liberals fear PM Harper, does not mean that Conservatives fear PM Harper. We actually like him! That's right, Conservatives like PM Harper, and it appears that lots of people across this great country of ours, like PM Harper too. I know that's news to you, but look at the election results, and get a clue.

Liberals are trying to change the channel from Dion's sorry performance to a "get rid of Harper" campaign, too funny. Hey Liberals, maybe you should be looking at your leadership or lack thereof before you start another "stop Harper" campaign. The last one produced your worse results ever for Liberals. Might want to rethink that strategy boys.

Just shows you how clueless the Liberal party is, they think Dion is the problem, and are now searching madly for Canada's Obama. I hate to give you any help, but maybe Dion was only part of the problem.....why do I bother, Liberals get hit with the facts right between the eyes, and are obviously too stunned by the blow to see reality. Fine with me, carry one as before, it's working.......for Conservatives! HA!

Rest In Pieces, Carbon Tax.

Nobody has mentioned the HUGE hit that environmentalists have taken in this election. It was their one last chance to convince people that a carbon tax would fix "global warming" and that we should continue on the Liberal path to send money to Mo Strong for Kyoto. The carbon tax is now poison to any political party, much like the abortion issue. Any party that tries to impose a carbon tax on Canadians will get slaughtered like unborn babies at the polls, like Dion.

Sorry to see you go carbon tax, you were aborted before you even had a chance to live. You might have been the next Mozart, music to our ears, but you died on the Liberal operating table, torn to pieces, waiting for a voter to support you.

Poor carbon tax, but it was our choice to get rid of you, we could not have supported you, all the increased feeding costs you would have meant, we just couldn't have afforded you. Rest in pieces, carbon tax, if we would have let you live, we might have come to love you, but you were an unexpected inconvenience to our world.

We never expected you, we never wanted you. You were a big problem that would have upset our lives. You would not have actually made our lives better, you would have complicated our lives, made our lives worse instead of better, so rest in pieces, carbon tax.

Carbon tax, died on October 14th, 2008... it has no birth date.

A Message From Alberta To Quebec.

Screw off! You arrogant a$$holes.

You are so arrogant, you think by voting Bloq you can wring more money out of the rest of Canada. PM Harper did everything he could to make you a part of Canada, and you snubbed your noses at us, you chose a separatist party, so I say, separate. If you don't, Alberta will.

Quebec is the problem, you steal from the West and yell about our oilsands, those same oilsands that support your $7 a day daycare.

I am spitting mad at those voters from Quebec, who love anyone named Trudeau but can't support a Conservative. You won nothing, the Bloq can do nothing for you. The Quebec nation is a fallacy, go ahead and separate. Let's hold a referendum across Canada on Quebec, bet we boot them out.

I feel the same about Newfoundland and Labrador. Hey Danny Boy, now what? At least PEI was smart enough to elect one Conservative, not so Newfoundland and Labrador, live with your choice.

Am I feeling vindictive, you bet. I hope the Conservatives ignore Newfoundland and Labrador like they have ignored us. Fair play. See what the opposition can do for you, nothing. You better hope PM Harper is not as outraged as I am.

So, Quebec, screw off, that's what you just told us to do by the way you voted.

Political Momentum, Who has it?

So let the voting begin. Will Quebec isolate itself by voting Bloq? If they do, expect the west to rise up in protest. We have been tolerant of the massive amounts of money going to Quebec, but if they turn their backs on us by voting Bloq, when PM Harper has done everything he can to make them welcome in Canada, they should expect us to turn our backs on them.

So, who has the momentum, watch for the crowds, or lack of them.

Clearly the Conservatives are going to be in power again. Will Quebec respond by voting Conservative or will they sit out in the dark with the Bloq? Will PEI wake up? What about Newfoundland and Labrador, will they let Danny Boy dictate to them how to vote? Does Ontario really like Dion enough to make him Prime Minister?

Guess we will find out tomorrow. By the time I post again, it will all be over.

My prediction? A slim Conservative majority.

CPAC Gets The Goods On The Greens!

Now you wouldn't think of Pallister Saskatchewan as the hotbed of "progressive" voting ideas, but CPAC just happened to catch the Greens and Liberals in action. The interesting parts are here:

The Greens and Liberals (with Carolyn Bennett present) try to form a coalition in the riding, but the NDP will have none of it. All this, just to stop those scary Conservatives. They never stop to think that people might actually like the Conservative platform and think that lefties are wrong. It never even enters their carbon riddled brains, that they just might be the ones who are off track. How May cried about democracy to get into the debates, and then just throws it aside when it's not to her liking.

In recent hours, Bourque has heard from a number of senior political operatives, notably senior Green Party standard bearer David Chernushenko, who told Bourque that "Integrity is when you make your actions consistent with your words and your promises. We all look for leaders with integrity. Too bad they are so hard to find.Green Party candidates should expect nothing but full and unwavering support from their leader. They have not received it. She has failed utterly in this one and most important obligation. To back them all to the end. In our 2006 leadership race, only when pushed by me, she promised Green Party members that of course she would back GP candidates 100 percent. Alas, the facts speak for themselves. If I were a candidate, I would be furious. I would feel let down by my leader when I needed her most. I wanted to stay out of this campaign entirely, but when I saw Green Party candidates, voters and donors being sideswiped, I could not stay silent. My friends and family deserve more respect. The Green Party is is not a "flag of convenience" to be raised and lowered on a whim."

The Green candidate has nothing between her ears except CO2! The buses could stop running because fuel is too expense and she would still be shouting about stopping a Harper majority. Funny how the Liberal candidate was willing to talk, but the NDP showed some common sense.

If the Conservatives started up a "stop lefties" campaign, they would all be yelling about distorting democracy, but vote splitting, under the table agreements, over the table agreements, and "stop Harper" campaigns are just fine.

We Conservatives spent 13 long years in the darkness that was the Liberal reign, but now after 30 months, the lefties can't stand being out of power anymore, and will do anything they can, no matter how badly it hurts Canada, to get back into power.

Every lefty platform will hurt Canada. If lefties are so self centered and dumb, that they can't see that, if they are so blinded by their own agendas, maybe they deserve what they want, Canada to become a basket case, a useless appendage that can not support itself. The rabid artists better think about what will happen in a recession, people, including governments, will not have the money to spend on watching a meat dress rot! Companies will move out, jobs will be lost, and the last thing people will want is more taxes, but lefties don't get that, they have no clue about the economy, and how it works.

Little Green Larrisa Shasko, wants to change Canada, because she knows better than the rest of us, and she speaks for ALL of Canada, as is her right. She can not understand that some of us, just might disagree with what she thinks. It doesn't even enter her little head, and she's running to be a Member of Parliament?

Update: Welcome all SDA readers. Thanks Kate!

PM Harper In Ontario and Quebec!

It appears that the momentum is with the Conservatives. Listen for the horn blasts and then watch PM Harper's reaction. He's having a lot of fun, and he's getting Conservatives pumped up.

People sitting down to their turkey dinners are going to talk about who they want as their next PM. Quebec is being asked to come to the table in government with the Conservatives and Harper as the Prime Minister. All Canadians are being asked to be at the table.

Every vote counts.

The Red Green Show!

Well, it appears that PM Harper was right about not having May in the debate, because it would mean 2 Liberal leaders.

So what were Green party members doing at Dion's Liberal rally? Talk about bullheaded, he also says he's going ahead with the Green Shaft NO matter what the economic conditions. Now that's scary!

And if Lizzie May is running third in her riding behind the NDP, shouldn't she quit and tell her supporters to vote NDP to stop Harper? HA! Hypocrites, both Dion and May. Democracy is about voting for who you think will do the best job, not to stop someone.

Dion Compared To Obama?

Unbelievable! CTV has a non-article about why right-wing leaders do better than they should up on their site.

A big shot attorney had to spend a couple of days in the hospital. He was a royal pain to the nurses because he bossed them around just like he did his staff. None of the hospital staff wanted to have anything to do with him.

The head nurse was the only one who could stand up to him. She came into his room and announced, 'I have to take your temperature.' After complaining for several minutes, he finally settled down, crossed his arms and opened his mouth.

'No,I'm sorry,' the nurse stated, 'but for this reading, I can't use an oral thermometer.' This started another round of complaining but eventually he rolled over and bared his behind.

After feeling the nurse insert the thermometer, he heard her announce, 'I have to get something. Now you stay JUST LIKE THAT until I get back!'

She left the door to his room open on her way out. He cursed under his breath as he heard people walking past his door, laughing.

After a half hour, the man's doctor came into the room.

'What's going on here?' asked the doctor.

Angrily, the man answered, 'What's the matter, Doc? Haven't you ever seen someone having their temperature taken?'

After a pause, the doctor confessed...

'Not with a carnation.

If You Were Prime Minister...

What would you have done differently? Every grade five class plays that game, it seems Dion was absent for that lesson. Here is a NEW tape on the Dion Meltdown, and I don't care how the Liberals try to spin this one, Dion showed us all how unprepared he really is to lead our country. Direct from Mike Duffy Live and CTV:

Not only was Dion clueless, but they played the hearing card, which by the way Duffy was right to call them on. Dion heard perfectly, he just had no speech in front of him to tell him how to answer. A major mistake on tape, it can not be taken back, spun, or made to look better.

Oh, what did the Liberals say about this?

Try this one:

An appalling breach of ethics? HA! Like the Liberals even understand what ethics are all about. Lump Liberal ethics in with Liberal morals, and you get Dion. A clueless leader of a party that needs to find it's way back to real Canadians with real ethics and real morals.

This was the defining moment in the election, it showed how unprepared Dion and the Liberals are to take back the reins of our country.

We are better off with Harper!

Tale Of Two Pictures!

The Globe and Mail is in full cry against the Conservatives. Bias? No, I see no bias here. HA!

Globe and Mail picture of PM Harper and Laureen getting off the plane in BC, with the headline:

Outlook gets gloomier for Tories, polls suggest

A surprising picture at CTV, somebody was asleep at the wheel to have allowed this one through the report nothing good about PM Harper filter. Head's will roll! For a party in trouble the Conservatives sure seem to have a huge crowd of supporters. Dang I forgot to link to it, and it's now gone.

This is what they replaced it with:
Now poor Jack is the lonely one with no support. Boy, CTV is getting to be schizophrenic, they don't know who to attack, Layton or Harper.

A picture from the National Post (my favorite newspaper, since they linked to one of my posts). I really like this one, because you can actually see the smile reach PM Harper's eyes.

Finally, I'm not sure if CTV did this on purpose or not, but they showed an interview by Lloyd Robertson with PM Harper talking about the economy, followed by Dion clearly saying that the Green Shift will be implemented and slamming the Prime Minister of our country. The contrast could not be more stark. Watch Dion's smug little face, his head shake, and where have his lips gone? What an arrogant, self deluded idiot. I am tired of the media shrilling for the Liberals by supporting his misfit.

Talking with the leaders.

Is CTV worried that Dion might actually win, and their ratings will drop? Or are they worried that a carbon tax, might decrease their revenues? Not too smart of them to support higher taxes, by supporting Dion now is it? They are a business aren't they? I have no clue what CBC is up to, because I refuse to go to their site unless I absolutely have to.

Media bias? HA! Do they really think we are stupid like Green party leader May does?

My Beloved Country...Beware!!!

Did the Conservatives peak too soon. Nope. Here's my take. Voters only tune in during the last week. So what will they see reported, the Conservative platform.

I like their platform, steady as it goes, but I'm a Conservative. Stepping out of the box, what do we see?

The NDP, typically gets the me, me, support me for life, vote.
The Liberals, typically get the brown bag, you helped me get money and I don't have to work, vote.
The Greens, typically get the protest, that's what we do best, vote.
The Bloq, typically get the separatist, only if we get huge $$$$ from Canada first, vote.

All of those parties think about their goals and ambitions first, our country last. It's easy to scream about your love of country while you still have a French passport, it's easy to yell about our health care while you access a private clinic, it's easy to smack Canadians over the head, time and time again, while you declare your desire to split up our country, and finally, it's easy to be green if you don't have to pay for your projects, if you think it's okay to suck Canada dry through your green straw.

Personally, as an average Canadian, I am sick of the attack on our Prime Minister. The most intelligent PM we have ever had, in Canadian history, is getting no respect, especially from the media. Only the National Post has printed positive articles on the Conservatives.

CTV makes me sick, just look at the articles they are posting on their website:

CTV is in full attack mode, they are so shrill, even my seeing eye dog can't watch the station anymore.

I'm starting to think that if the Conservatives can not get a majority, it would be better for Dion to win a minority government so he can implement his green carbon tax, and Jack will prop him up with business tax increases. As the economy tanks, and our taxes raise, we will cry for PM Harper to come back and fix the mess.

I can only hope that it will not be too late. I fear we might lose the best PM we have ever had because the lefties, with no plan and no leader, are just jealous, or should I say, green with envy.

PM Harper is so far above the other leaders in every respect, that they would prefer to kill our Canada, just to gain joint power. They, and their voters are such small people, that they need to attack instead of build up. They would prefer to see Canada go the way of Iceland (national bankruptcy) then to vote for a Conservative PM.

I have gone from being "sick of it", to crying for my beloved country. Beware of what you sow.

If The Left Unites, And By Mistake Wins...

....What should we expect? What if Danny Boy's ABC campaign works across Canada (prairies exempted)? What if they carry this anything to prevent the Conservatives from a majority too far, and they get the Dion Liberals by mistake?

Think about it, seriously, for just one second. What if the lefties actually do prevent the Conservatives from even a minority, guess who we are stuck with....Dion! Now, the lefties might cheer, high fives all around between the four lefty parties, and then, they get to implement their platforms, in one of the most unstable global economies I can ever remember. Can you see the mess Canada would be?

Being lefties they will all band together to promote the "greater" good. So, what is their "greater" good? Combine their platforms together and what do you get?

Carbon credits against productive taxpaying businesses.
More funding for the arts.
Shutting down the only sector that is still showing some life (energy)
Shift to eco-friendly vehicles no one can afford (they will be unemployed).
Money to Europe to buy Kyoto credits.
Increasing the GST.
Getting rid of income splitting for seniors.
Pulling out of Afghanistan now.
De-funding our military.
Canceling much needed military equipment.
Free drugs for all.
Legalized prostitution.
Legalized marijuana.
Increased business taxes to pay for social programs.
Doubling childcare credits AND a Federal sponsored daycare.
Raising fuel prices this winter. (Hey it's not Alberta this time, saying let them freeze in the dark, it's the Liberal/NDP/Bloq/Green parties)
Protecting ALL animals, over humans.
Banning all guns.
Killing all development of the Arctic.
Negotiating with terrorists.
Repeat offenders getting out early...like the known sexual predator who abducted the little girl in Alberta this weekend.

....And a chicken in every pot, but no fuel to cook it!

If that doesn't scare you, when the economy is becoming more unstable, nothing ever will. Think about how fast our economy will tank. Unions will be looking for higher wages, especially the Ontario teacher's union and autoworkers, and forestry workers, and nurses, and every sector that is in trouble will have their hands out. Oh, and let's not forget about getting rid of poverty.

Remember the Rae surprise in Ontario? What if by some miracle we get a Dion surprise? Or heaven forbid, a Layton surprise because of strategic voting.

So, when you are sitting around your dinner tables eating your Thanksgiving feast, think hard about your vote, and what it means to the stability, even the continued existence of the Canada we all love. This is not some game, this is about the survival of Canada, and who is the best leader. This is not about cuts to the arts, this is about cuts to the very fabric of our country.

Oh Goody, A Pile On!!!

Who else will he creatively confiscate his environmental plan from? First we have Steve Janke, We now hear that at a climate change conference, he reads a two year old UN report, Then we have Return of the Toryhe plagiarizes from a Climate report, in 2005, but he doesn't stop there. He appropriated one plan from Suzuki.

Jonathan Kay: Great take by Janke — who is Stéphane Dion to lecture others about plagiarism?

If that isn't enough, he appropriated his "green shift" from the real Greens, but May loves him so much, she let's him.

He even steals the name "green shift" from a real business who has to sue him to get the name back!

Seriously, does this guy have an environmental plan that he hasn't stolen? Does he even understand the environmental issue, or is that why for two years he did nothing and allowed CO2 emissions to increase by over 30%. And, he's the "smart" Liberal? HA!

Oh, and let's not forget that Clarity Act.

Stephen Harper introduced Bill C-341 in 1996.
Dion introduced the Clarity Act in 2000, four years later.

Well, if you accuse your opponent of a wrong doing, you sure better not have done it yourself.

So, Let's Penalize Big Oil Shall We?

Every opposition party has demonized big oil, Layton even has a candidate who wants to shut the oil sands down. So, I say, okay Alberta, let's do it, just for one week.

Think of the CO2 we would not produce, we would be hero's to the environmental movement, heck let's do it for a month, or a year, that will clean up the smog in Edmonton...oh wait, Edmonton has never had a smog day, and CO2 is not visible. Maybe we should shut down the natural gas sector too, that will help the environment.

Or maybe you should watch this video to understand how much the rest of Canada benefits from big oil. I hope you are watching Layton, Dion, May and Duceppe, you obviously need to get a clue about Alberta.

102 BILLION dollars to Ontario!!! Wonder what even one day without an order from Alberta big oil will do to manufacturing in Ontario and Quebec. You can only slap Alberta around so many times, then Alberta will slap back, and we do have the power behind our punch. Why don't the opposition parties call for the DIRTY auto sector to be shut down, or taxed because of their polluting product? Chickens, hypocrites and union hags, all of them. I am tired of Alberta being the punching bag for the opposition parties. Alberta is always fair game during an election, but what would Ontario do without the 102 Billion from Alberta?

H/T to MaryT, who's comment on Friday lead me to this Rutherford/CPAC piece.

BEWARE! When PM Harper....

leans on the podium, you will get an honest answer.

I have noticed this many times, and this is only one example.

I wonder if the media have picked up on this yet? Every time PM Harper leans on the podium, it means he is about to give his truthful opinion on the question, no matter if the reporter likes the answer or not.

Watch for it from now on, and see if I'm right or not. I think I'm right.

Listen to PM Harper's answers. If you seriously listen to what he is saying, there is no-one else to vote for as PM. He makes the other leaders look like school kids running for class president. He is so far above the other leaders in intellect, honesty, and trustworthiness, that I can't believe people would vote for anyone but him.

Danny Boy and Duceppe can only watch and envy. Two small men who hate Canada. One is an egomaniac who cares only for himself, the other is a separatist who wants to break up my Canada. Get over it boys, what are you going to do when your own people vote against your wishes?

You see, I have faith in the people of Quebec and Newfoundland, I think they are smarter than you two give them credit for. What good will it serve for Quebec and Newfoundland to have NO Conservative MP's? The Liberals have no more brown bags to hand out to anyone, no matter what they have promised you. They are broke both financially and morally.

Liberal Puffin!

I don't care what anyone says about the puffin pooping on Dion, it has defined the Liberal campaign, the guy who thought it up should get a raise!

Why? Well it appears the Liberal candidates really are trying to hide the poop, called the Green Shift. How do I know, well this is what the Liberal candidate in Edmonton Leduc has to say about the Green Shift.......nothing, she's hidden it from voters in Edmonton Leduc. Isn't that what puffins do? I'm sure Iggy told us the Liberals should adopt the bird, seems at least one Liberal candidate has listened.

Liberal deputy leader Michael Ignatieff says the industrious little seabird — with its black and white plumage, distinctive striped beak and orange feet — is a "noble" creature that exemplifies Liberal values.

"It's a noble bird because it has good family values. They stay together for 30 years," Ignatieff said Thursday outside a Liberal caucus retreat in the Newfoundland and Labrador capital.

"They lay one egg (each year). They put their excrement in one place. They hide their excrement.… They flap their wings very hard and they work like hell.

"This seems to me a symbol for what our party should be."

I finally got a campaign postcard from my Liberal candidate, delivered by Canada Post, not by a door knocker. One side has her qualifications, nurse and psychologist, UNIVERSITY TEACHER (not professor, don't want to scare us red-necked hillbillies), so she is one of Dion's sacrificial lambs, a woman running in a riding where Conservative James Rajotte gets over 60% of the vote.

I would feel sorry for her, but as a psychologist, she should know better than to hide her Liberal party platform. The reverse side of the postcard talks about defending public health care, improved access to childhood education, national security of our food, air and water, development to assure a sustainable economy for ALBERTA, and eradicate poverty.

Not one word, not one mention, of the Liberals main election platform, the Green Shift. She doesn't lie, but she sure does hide the Liberal poop, called the Green Shift.

Donna Lynn Smith, a Liberal puffin, busy hiding the Liberal puffin poop (Green Shift).
